How To Make A Difference

If you are looking for a way to make a difference, look no further! Because Gypsy Cats Rescue is a rescue group run by volunteers that focus on rehabilitation and re-homing cats, we are always welcoming donations big and small. More often than not our fosters have a favorite toy/blanket/bed and we gladly send it with them to their new home so that they have something familiar to go along with them. Because we are sending items with the kitties when they go to their new home, we are often in need of new kitty supplies!

Here are a few easy ways to help out:
                                       Donating:
        • cat food
          • dry food: a decent  affordable brand that is still nutritious is Purina
          • canned wet food: we use this often to trap cats, decent brand is the pate style Friskies
        • kitty litter box
        • kitty litter
          • can be bought from CostCo is approximately $8
          • Arm & Hammer is also a decent brand
        • cat toys
          • mice toys
          • balls
          • springs
          • laser pointers
        • cat blankets
          • small gently used flannel or cotton baby blankets work best
          • fuzzy/soft throws
        • plastic storage containers (the ones you buy to store christmas decorations)
          • we use these for insulated home for cats in colder weather
        • cat beds
        • towels
        • cat trees
        • cat carriers
        • medication
          •  Lamisil - OTC ointment used for ringworm
          • Nizoral -  human shampoo for dandruff is used to treat ringworm

  1. I have found many things for cats at thrift stores. Is it OK to donate these?
